  I Believe that It’s a great Privilege For me to take office as the Principle of St.mary’s College, a School which has a history about 115 years, on 09 th February 2015.With This Long history, the college has been able to create a large number of people for the Wellbeing of the country. This was started as an English medium College at the beginning.

  It’s a proud to be a Marian and get the name St Mary’s as I too was a Josephian who studied at St-Joseph college Bandarawela .Through the college education I was able to be a bright student in the college and enter the university.

  After my arrival I was able to start about fifteen sports and games and about 25 clubs and associations in this school. In spite of that, a new path has opened for the children to use English, launching English speaking clubs in the school.

  As the principle of St. Mary’s, my main objective is to start advanced level classes in Science and Maths streams .By the year 2025 for that a building with a laboratory facilities should be established, by now I have taken necessary actions to make my objective, a reality.

  It is my duty to make opportunities to promote, discipline, educational results as well as co curricular activities of the children of my school. Not only that, through all these activities my ultimate goal is to make this, the best school in Gampaha district, offering children with-balanced personalities.

  Sons and daughters of St.Mary’s, you have been loved and sheltered by the school for past 115 years. Extend you good wishes to make this a better place not for today but for tomorrow. The blessings will definitely come back to you long live St.Mary’s.
